After nearly 97 years Mom is slowly winding down this incarnation. A couple of weeks ago I after lunch I asked her where she wanted to be (expecting she’d say the bathroom or her recliner). She said rather emphatically, Heaven! I replied: well Mom isn’t that where we are - in Heaven on earth? Then when we leave our body it’s a very short trip! She’s still thinking about that…😇

Really powerful post, Will. Such a inspirtational practice and the idea of us, in essence, evicting ourselves from our "home" though the inner environment create is such an important realization.
Being without hate is not the same as being unconditionally loving. One may simply be indifferent and thus neutral; but it is in that state of neutrality that unconditional love may have the opportunity to grow.
Hi Gwyneth: How about we say “the measure of a minds evolution is the acceptance of the unacceptable”. That way if we ever found ourselves nailed to a cross hanging 8 ft in the air we could look down on our executioners and say something like:”forgive them father for they know not what they do”
