Hi Uncle will: There’s a line that’s repeated several times in A Course in Miracles. “Projection makes perception” What that means to me and most long time students of the Course is simple. We Project our thoughts out into “Our World” and then we perceive them from our own perspective. The same event may be viewed differently from 20 different people. I bowl with an EX Cop who’s interviewed 10 eye witness’s to a traffic accident and got 10 very different stories. Once someone really understands this there is nothing to fear. My friend Mike Dooley’s favorite tag line is “Thoughts create things” . . . your thoughts create your things. If you don’t like what you’re seeing change the channel. How simple is that? There really is nothing to fear unless you’re afraid of yourself.
My very first self-help author, Harry Browne (How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World), wrote the concept, "The only real security the world has to offer is knowing that you can handle whatever comes." When I combine that belief with my acceptance of karmic law (As you give, so shall you receive), it is much easier for me to find peace of mind through Divine Acceptance for All That Is.
