The Singularity is a well known term in physics that describes a point in the near future when artificial intelligence and related technologies surpass human intelligence to such a degree that civilization undergoes an unpredictable and irreversible transformation. At this threshold, machines could design and improve themselves without human input, triggering exponential advances in science, medicine, and society. Proponents see it as a moment of transcendence — where humanity might merge with technology and overcome biological limits — while critics warn it could also lead to loss of control, existential risks, or the end of human dominance altogether.
I like the term but I interpret it in a fundamentally different way.
For me, The Singularity is the full experience of Oneness. Non-duality. This means that there is no separation, no time, no desire for anything or anyone to be different. This is it. Nothing is wrong. I am who I am.
Just this, not that, and this is enough.
Experiencing any moment as “enough” seems rare. There’s always more sensation to be had, more money to accumulate, fame to achieve, success, challenges to overcome. But within the Singularity, as I conceive it, there is only profound contentment.
This really is it!
I find my morning and evening meditations simplifying to a single point… a wordless, timeless, holy instant. It’s not stagnant stillness but fertile emergence. Something indescribable is being born in the singularity of now here. And it literally takes my breath away!
Meanwhile, the news assails us with threats and controversy. What if our best contribution is to embrace it all, rendering it into oneness within the singularity of our personal experience?
Fun... now, there's something eternally appealing!
