Endings and Beginnings
Welcome to whatever comes next
Clint Eastwood famously said: “A man’s gotta know his limitations.”
For a year and a half I’ve been developing the OpenMind Fitness Foundation as a research and resource organization for addressing our mental health epidemic from a spiritual vantage point. I’ve had tremendous support from board members, friends and colleagues, and those of us leading this venture have now agreed to re-assign the organization back to the founder, who hasn’t been involved thus far.
My limitations are obvious: I don’t know how to build a business. I do know how to write and speak and coach and heal. So, I’ll be focusing on all that as an independent contributor, liberated from administrative duties that I found onerous and will never be particularly good at.
There’s always grief associated with an ending so I’m allowing that season to run its full course. And, this is the same space where beginnings arise. So, I’m curious what will emerge. Some of you might have ideas.
This blog and the associated podcast will continue under another name and all of you will continue to receive materials without interruption. For those of you offering $8 a month, those funds will continue to support the development of my primary work: creating the activation practice as a quantum strategy for raising the frequency of mass consciousness.
This morning I joined many thousands of meditators all around this planet for a Walk For the World event led by Dr. Joe Dispenza. It was remarkable to picture and sense strangers in strange countries, becoming quantum allies through our mutual intention: to uplift the field of energy we all live in.
I love those kinds of events and I’ll be part of any that I learn about. There’s strength in numbers. And, my focus is the ever-present here and now, 24/7. “Activation” is about transforming our identity, becoming someone who prioritizes their quantum transmission in every moment. I know many of you share my passion for this.
So, on we go.
Thanks for your support this past year +, especially those of you who helped pioneer the early activation practices. I’ll be continuing to develop those in novel forms.
One of the values of an official non-profit organization is the ability to receive donations and offer tax receipts. I will still be able to do that, channeling funds through a friend’s non-profit. Our vision / mission is very similar and a new collaboration is already in the works.
In his remarkable book, Power vs Force, David Hawkins wrote: “The universe holds its breath as we choose, instant by instant, which pathway to follow; for the universe, the very essence of life itself, is highly conscious. Every act, thought, and choice adds to a permanent mosaic; our decisions ripple through the universe of consciousness to affect the lives of all . . .”
Thanks for riding this wave with me!

Flowing gracefully with change seems like a good choice and I wish you to know that I have enjoyed my most recent journey with you and felt blessed to be included. You and Tashina have always been bright lights shining out in the forest of confusion of these times and this is literally true too. How you both transformed your home east of Ashland into a paradise of beauty, relaxation and inspiration was notable and meaningful to me. I hold many other similar memories of you through the years. I have loved your creative expression and loved you, the creators. Still do! Much love to you and my vote of appreciation for whatever direction you choose to go now. You will be great! I hope interviewing notable people continues to be a part of what you do because you are really good at that and if you ever got a wild hair to recreate that first short start your day meditation, the one with the nature sounds and much less talking. I would be very, very happy. I have missed having that so much. Many hugs, R
