Jeffrey Sachs, a 40 year career diplomat, was interviewed by Tucker Carlson. He recounted the Kennedy/Khrushchev agreement to de-escalate the Cuban Missile crisis by removing missiles from Turkey and Cuba. At the time, a nuclear Russian sub was caught under water without communication and didn't know of the agreement. The Cpt. ordered arming the torpedo's armed with nuclear tips which if fired would have simulated the destruction of humanity. One guy, a party official outranking the captain on the boat gave the order to stand down, thereby, saving humanity. One guy can make a difference, thankfully.
