OpenMind Fitness Workouts
Use it or lose it...
What do we do to stay healthy, physically? Eat well, take supplements, exercise, work out, manage symptoms? Anything else?
What do we do to stay healthy, mentally? Uh … probably not so much.
No wonder we have a global epidemic of mental illness. We receive ZERO education on preventative self-care for our minds. Maybe that has something to do with why depression, anxiety, and suicide rates are at an all-time high, with no relief in sight.
We can blame the environment, our parents, politicians… it’s easy to feel like a victim and point the finger. But, ultimately, nothing changes until we take responsibility for ourselves. In this case, what could we do (new and different) to become mentally fit?
I’m working with a new non-profit, The OpenMind Fitness Foundation, and our mission is to help take mental fitness mainstream, to make it a “thing,” the same way that physical fitness is. Many of us go to a gym to work out our bodies. How about working out our minds… without going anywhere?
We are introducing a spiritual solution to mental illness that focuses on using our conscious minds properly. Misuse any tool and it can break. At present, we mostly use our minds to solve problems. But they are designed to receive and transit frequencies of creation from a transcendent source. We are creator Gods in training and our conscious minds are the conduit for our artistry. That understanding is a far cry from the established norm. Imagine learning that in school!
In my post last week I introduced the Smiling Practice. I’ve since positioning this at the center of our first work out circuit. I plan on creating a whole series of these, so we can pick and choose what we will include for regular mental work outs, just like we do at the gym to keep our bodies in shape. I hope some of you give this a try for a week and report back how it goes.
It’s self-explanatory but I’ll provide a bit more guidance.
First, smile.
You can do this first thing, throughout the day, and end the day with a smile. Just doing this can accomplish wonders. It’s hard to feel depressed when we’re smiling.
The Morning Check In
Six questions and you’ll quickly memorize them. You start the morning by activating your mind to help you create a fun, productive, meaningful day.
The Noon Review
Set your watch for noon every day. When the chime sounds, pause and review what’s happening. Three simple questions, easy to remember. It’s a chance to course correct, if you need to.
The Evening Check Out
You can do this in bed just before falling asleep. Six more questions that help you complete the day and rest your mind while your body sleeps.
I’ll be switching bank accounts next month so that $ paid subscribers are pledging will flow into the non-profit (you’ll get a tax receipt). This will help fund our developing projects, including the production of a short film and a global conference on A Spiritual Approach to Mental Fitness next year. Paid and founding members will receive the Mind Fitness Workout Guide as it develops, with an invitation to experiment with the processes together.
Mental illness is more than a health epidemic, it’s an urgent sign that our species is in decline. This is my contribution to help turn things around. I see it less as fixing a problem than supporting our human evolution. Something wonderful is happening… we are re-birthing into the truth of who we have always been and are destined to become. But there’s no guarantee we will make it so, all hands on deck!
Thanks for your support. What I’d most appreciate is if you start experimenting with this first Mind Fitness Circuit and let me know how it goes. It’s a work-in-progress and I’m inviting users help me refine it to perfection.
If you’d like to print out the Circuit, here’s a link in our website with a larger image which you could photograph and print out.

I suggest this copy as a part of PR campaign for the non-profit, The OpenMind Fitness Foundation:
Mental solution to the Global Epidemic of Mental Illness.
“𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆.”
The towering increase in numbers of mental illness among Gods can be greatly reduced by introducing teaching curriculum in schools where Gods with master’s degrees will show how to “transit frequencies of creation from a transcendent source” and train little bungling Gods to ask themselves this cardinal question: How Do I Feel?
The “Feel Good” curriculum which is a part of “Gods on Training” program presents an outstanding curative technique for adult Gods with mental illness. Smiling, and asking few easily remembered questions such as: “how do I want to feel at the end of the day” and “how do I choose to feel as I fall asleep” would be an important part of this progressive educational program.
