Testimony of Light
An incredible description of life after death
I’m reading an old book, Testimony of Light by Helen Greaves. She recounts conversations with a deceased friend who describes her life in the hereafter with remarkable detail and, here’s the kicker: it’s very much like her life was on earth, just the next level up.
This novel (for me) interpretation of life after death has encouraged me to rethink my beliefs. I’d bet that most of us who believe that life continues in some form after we leave the body have assumed it will be dramatically different. All light. Angels with harps. Perfect astral bodies, etc.
What Greaves describes of her friend’s post-death existence is indeed much more loving than earth time. But, and here’s why I’m sharing this, her daily routine “up there” bears a striking resemblance to what she was doing on earth before she left.
That’s an interesting concept.
I mused on this today as I had two very different experiences. First, my morning meditation was next level wonderful. I wasn’t sure I’d ever return! Total basking in love… Second, I read a news report that disputed everything I’d recently read/seen about the incident. Together, these convinced me that what really matters is living in my preferred reality right now.
No waiting.
Because none of us can know what happens “after we die” until that moment comes. So, instead of banking on Heaven Forever or some other hopeful vision, what if we concentrated on creating heaven on earth in our personal experience right now?
I know, that sounds pretty basic but I’m freshly impressed with how much choice we have. Returning to those two examples, what do I emphasize? The conflicting news stories or my breakthrough experience of meditative bliss?
I’ll take door number two, thanks very much!
So, this post is very simple. It’s an encouragement for you to explore the same way. Testimony of Light, the title of that great book, can also become our chosen lifestyle right now: Living in the light of our own radiance connected to source because we choose to prioritize that connection over everything else moment by wonderful moment.
As I said in my New Years video message: “Let our fellowship be based in that.”

Fascinating Mike. I recommend everyone click on that link, below, and read Mike's story. Inspiring!
love that and I agree. Plus, how we live builds the foundation for what comes after.
