If moving to the left lane in a situation when there is a tree across the road requires much imagination, then I can totally see what you mean by: “this idea to special moments of inspiration that geniuses have”.

Exactly. Well put. 2 + 2 what? I'm inviting imagination to disrupt entrenched positions. And we already do this. For instance, we drive on the right side of the road in America. But, if a tree is across the road, etc. we switch to the left lane. Someone saying, we ALWAYS drive on the right side would exemplify the rigidity I'm referring to. What if?

“Imagination can immediately go to work, escorting us beyond argument“

Mental health epidemic in many cases is resulting from the attempt to escape reality. Reality is hard and can be brutal. As one good man said:

“You cannot find any peace by escaping from human pain and suffering; You have to find peace and harmony right in the midst of human pain. That is the purpose of a spiritual life.”

- Dainin Katagiri   Sōtō Zen priest and teacher.

The only difference between “blue pill” and “third pill” is that third pill upgrades Matrix to the higher level of illusion - escapism into creative fantasy.

“Imagination …escorting us beyond argument“ - Avoidance of a solid argument is a passive escape from reality. Denialism is a person's choice to deny reality, as a way to avoid a psychologically uncomfortable truth and pretend that things you don’t wish to see don’t exist, or vise versa - things you wish for - do.

Consequently, instead of creation of the “…real answer to mental illness”, escape to daydreaming and fantasy actually may lead directly to the mental illness.

Fantasy prone personality (FPP) is a disposition or personality trait in which a person experiences a lifelong, extensive, and deep involvement in fantasy. Over-Active Imagination Disorder (OID) is an “overactive imagination" or "living in a dream world". An individual with this trait (termed a fantasizer) may have difficulty differentiating between fantasy and reality. Closely related psychological constructs include daydreaming.

“We seek to escape the dark cave of a despondent mind by either dulling oneself mentally or through imaginative acts. One form of escapism is daydreaming.”

Great thoughts, thanks. I used the word "argument" to describe conflicting entrenched opinions at war with each other. Creative dialogue between different perspectives is entirely different. As for the pills, it's a metaphor. What I refer to as the third pill points to a subjective, created "reality" authored by the individual. I agree that fantasizing and day dreaming can be harmful. On the other hand, many inventions have arrived in daydreams, or actual dreams.

So, would example of “entrenched opinion” be 2+2=4 and “Creative dialogue between different perspectives” would be 2+2= 13.5, maybe more… and maybe less…?

You are saying: “What I refer to as the third pill points to a subjective, created "reality" authored by the individual”.

And then you are questioning: “What if we’ve not been educated as much as we’ve been hypnotized, to grow up ignorant of our God given ability to create and resigned to accepting someone else’s subjective creation as our objective reality?”

So, would “entrenched opinion” that 2+2=4 be educated answer, and the “third pill [which] points to a subjective, created "reality”” would be “not been educated as much as hypnotized, accepting someone else’s subjective creation as our objective reality”?

I love your new 'What if? theory, Will. It correlates entirely with a magnificent book I've just finished reading: The Way of Mastery, with text channelled by Jeshua ben Joseph (aka Jesus) to members of the Shanti Christo Foundation in 2005. In essence, it emphasises why we should never give in to fear, which leads to diminution of the Self, but rather express our innate creativity, which never ceases and never fails to lead to our highest goal: The realisation of our highest Self.

This is a discussion about identity and how the madness of dualities occurs when the vertical component of heavenly Creator Identity is not known. All dualities are resolved in the One Identity. This is what works practically, and it's not about taking some magic 'pill' ...although imagination/believing it's true is an essential first step. Education is the key, 'educare': to draw forth the Creator Identity which is sorely needed on the planet today. Thank God for you Will, and others, for seeking to provide this needed resource as the troubled world of bereft humanity wakes up to the only Way in reality for a 'world that works for everyone'. Best to wake up now as the burgeoning Light of Life won't be held back for much longer!

Well said brother. Your “purple pill” may be just the one to relieve us of the Mad Hatter and retrieve poor Alice from the rabbit hole. You remember what the doormouse said, though we might understand him in our current thinkus as feed your soul!

I’m enjoying your essays Will and the strategies you are forging. Imagination it is!
