Voting For Love

Vote early, vote often.

“Every hateful word, every dehumanizing smear, every note of mockery and contempt, every denunciation and condemnation that we put into the public square feeds the powers that would manipulate us into war, genocide, and fascism. And so, politicians and media set the example of hate for us to follow. It isn’t even deliberate — that’s the thing. It is just the way things are done. I don’t mean here to set up politicians and media as the new evil. “Forgive them Lord, for they know not what they do.” But that is what they do. They divide us. They teach us to hate each other.

“Don’t fall for it. That’s my request. Don’t fall for it. Instead, enter the political sphere with the questions that come from compassion and lead to love. That is the only revolution worth having.”

So says commentator Charles Eisenstein, who I count as a wise friend. Bravo buddy!

He advises: “Come from compassion and lead with love…” What exactly might that look like? Here’s my take, answering the question that millions of us are pondering: “Who will you vote for?”

I’m voting for Love. I suggest you do the same and that we follow that old motto: “Vote early, vote often.”

I have an innovative suggestion about how to do this, arising from a personal healing story. A few years ago I had a sudden attack of vertigo. Wouldn’t wish that nightmare on anyone! My wife took me to the hospital, to make sure it wasn’t a stroke. It wasn’t, and they really couldn’t seem to do anything to relieve my symptoms, beyond recommending various interventions that made me very nervous. We escaped.

Driving away, with me lying in the back seat, nauseous, my wife called a friend. Paula suggested we drop by the local Co-op and pick up a homeopathic remedy. I stayed in the car in the parking lot, Tashina went in to get it, returned, and gave me five tiny pills to dissolve under my tongue.

Within 20 seconds I felt 90% normal. An hour later I was just fine. From a single dose. Wow! So, what magic was that?

Homeopathy works on the principle of similars, or “like cures like.” For instance, a person with a cold would be given a homeopathic remedy that causes cold symptoms, but in a tiny dose. The matching frequencies cancel the imbalanced condition, which is what apparently happened in my body, almost instantly.

What does this have to do with politics you wonder? Well, I’m angling towards a different way to address “bad actors” on the world stage. All kinds of crimes are committed in secret, including murder, and the perpetrators are often never held accountable. They don’t seem remorseful about their actions, and remain immune to regret or any interest in changing their ways.

So, how about trying a homeopathic tactic? We could send them some Love. But not just any Love. What if we sent them the exact frequency they needed to make a shift?

This sounds like a cool idea for a sci-fi movie, one I’d sure like to see! But how about experimenting in real life? So, if you’re game, here’s our first trial. First, watch the 10-minute video found through this link, and then try the following exercise.

So, tuning in to this fellow human, notice whatever judgments arise (especially after you learn what she did), and let them go. That may be difficult. Your goal is to become neutral, to just think about this person, and see if you can feel anything unique.

Getting woo woo, right? Well, it’s an experiment, let’s have fun with it.

OK, now, transmit. Having identified her “frequency,” see if you can duplicate it and broadcast towards her in your minds eye, or as I prefer to say, from your hearts center.

“Come from compassion and lead with love…” That’s what Charles suggested and this is my imaginative take on how to do that.

I’ve been doing versions of this for awhile but am now stepping up my Love Casting practice by getting more specific like this. I hope a few of you experiment with me and report on what you experience. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we discovered something effective together and perfected a technique for using the power of Love to heal, remotely?

You can practice with this any time you think of someone you’re judging, especially someone in a power position who seems to be harming others through thoughtless words and actions. As Charles also said in what I quoted: “Forgive them Lord, for they know not what they do.”

Can we learn to do that? I’m game to try.
