In a college english class the teacher gave us an assignment to write about an event in our lives that we will always remember. Did I ever have a LOO LOO. Ernie gave me an A but had a strange look on his face. He didn’t know if I was relating to current day Woo Woo or telling a true story based on Scientific fact.
Love that word!
Exquisite, Don. You're my favorite living poet, by far.
Friends, I recommend you pick up Don's latest collection:. Sorry for the long link, it's on Amazon.

Here’s where I am in the “lift, drop, flow” -
When sun rises
behind the evergreen,
my return to the island
draws near.
Winter over,
gray skies lifting,
I walk softly
from the cave of renewal.
Darkness did
the healing work,
silence rested
my soul,
and now I rise
without color,
ghost-pale
and squinting,
yet sure of the sun,
to join spring’s fete
with waking bear hunger.
I have always appreciated the art of breviloquence.
I wonder what Ernie did with that?
